I have used HP Compaq Presario CQ40 for about a month. This is a very wonderful laptop for me. However, this is my first laptop which is completed with Intel core 2 duo processor and pre installed with windows vista operating system. HP Compaq Presario CQ40 is a good choice for people who are looking for cheap compaq laptop. It has many features which are very wonderful and will make you so enjoyable when using it. Its intel core 2 duo processor and 2 GB RAM will make all of the process in this laptop run so fast. However, that is a good combination.

If however you do not have any Windows installation disc with you, or the type of user who runs numerous programs all at the same time, I would suggest that you grab the version with a pre-installed OS (Windows Vista) with 2Gb RAM.
